Shannon Gospel Choir are based in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland. They are widely known for their contemporary style, lively performances and balanced sound. They sing music that matters! Gospel standards and contemporary chart songs….anything that has a strong and positive message…

They have been together since 2009 and they have been on some journey……

SGC have performed all over the country and have appeared several times on national television and radio. They have also shared the stage with the likes of the Harlem Gospel Choir, Dublin Gospel Choir, Declan O Rourke, Paul Brady and Rebecca Storm. Over the last two years they have performed many times with their friend Paddy Casey, featuring on his latest album and accompanying him in performances on The Late Late Show, Vicar Street and in front of 80,000 in Croke Park in 2013 for the All Ireland Hurling Final.

They like to sing music that matters! While this includes gospel standards, they like to perform contemporary songs whenever they can. Often, chart songs are dismissed as just ‘pop songs’ but its surprising the number of chart hits that hold a strong and positive message. SGC like to find these songs and give them a bit of a twist..
